Borosilicate Glass
Colourful Romano-British glass bangles were a popular statement during the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. Using the ancient technique of lampworking I have hand crafted a modern design equivalent. Formed in fire, each design is entirely unique.

I Dedico has been developed as part of my ma in craft. the name, meaning 'I dedicate', came from roman grafitto scratched into samian ware pottery from chester, england. the quality of the borosilicate glass emiits a clarity of playful light that is unmatched by other materials. although breakable, the bangles are highly durable and have been tested over a long period of time, presenting no risk of damage from everyday wear.
